Being a mother as a healthcare professional in the COVID-19 pandemic: A qualitative study

Objective: The aim of this research was to determine the changes in relationships between healthcare professional mothers and their preschool-aged children during coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. In addition, second objective study propose a new phenomenon that explains “being mother as professional” COVID-19 Materials Methods: participants were 16 (8 doctors 8 nurses) who had worked intensive care units pandemic child. conducted accordance with phenomenological approach, one qualitative designs. data obtained through face-to-face interviews researchers using half-structured interview forms prepared by researchers. Colaizzi’s 7-step method used for evaluation data. Results: According findings, gathered under four main themes: emotional reactions, normal life, difficulties brought life coping strategies these difficulties. Conclusion: findings showed caused many lives children; built some they developed various overcome reactions.
